I am loving the new Sweet Story collection by Maggie Holmes. The vibrant colors are so darling and perfect for spring and summer. Here is a 12x12 layout I made. That rainbow paper is my favorite.
Here is a pocket page with this collection. It has such fun tags and polaroids that I cut out of a 12x12 paper.
The final project I made with the Crate Paper Hey Pumpkin line is my October mini album. I used white card stock paper and rings to create this. The pages are 5 1/2 by 7 inches. Scroll down to see some of my favorite pages. Link to flip through video at the bottom of post.
Last month my family and I went on an amazing vacation to California. We went to Sea World for the first time, explored the tide pools at Crystal Cove, and had a blast hanging out at our resort at Huntington Beach.
Here is my traveler's journal in its cute cover at the beach. I got it from The Freckled Fawn.
For the cover, I made a collage of my favorite pictures from the trip. I used Picasa on the computer.
We love Huntington Beach!
3 cute boys
Sea World was SOO FUN!
Belmont Park was the coolest amusement park!
Here is a video flip through of the whole traveler's journal:
January's Cocoa Daisy kit was adorable. It had lots of pink, hearts, moons and butterflies. I can't wait to share what I made with the kit.
My husband and I will be celebrating our 12 year anniversary in a few weeks. With this romantic kit, I knew I wanted to make a layout about us.
That typewriter card had me at hello. It is the cutest! Here's a layout with the day in the life kit. It is the back side to the previous layout, which worked out great because that top left card is darling on both sides and I was able to utilize both sides! I love it when that happens. That tag was so fun to type on which went right along with the typewriter card. Overall, the layout is just some everyday moments with my kiddos.
Here's what our New Year's Eve looked like. There were lots of balloon popping, confetti throwing, and horn blowing. And it all happened around 9pm woot woot. I cut out the hearts from a 12x12 sheet for the top right card. I wanted to use that pink "2017" 3x4 card but it wasn't quite the right size for this layout, so I cut it into a pennant flag and added to a banner.
For my last project, I wanted to use this darling paper by Pink Paislee that was made up of a grid of lots of cute squares. I knew interactive paper flaps would be fun to go with the squares. I will let you watch the video below to see how I made it.
One of my favorite project life kits so far is the Lucky Charm kit designed by Dear Lizzy. I decided to make a mini love book with many cards from this set. The gold foil mixed with floral, and happy love sayings made it the perfect pieces for my book. This book really expresses how much love we have for each other.
I added lots of photos, mostly from our latest family pictures session. I used a lot of black and white photos throughout. I used a mix of heavy paper, project life cards, and page protectors for the pages. Many of the photos I added, may never have been printed otherwise. Such as out-takes, or my boys being silly.
First I started gathering my paper goodies and extras such as envelopes, tags, page protectors, etc. The majority of my december daily was made using Fancy Pants paper.
Here is a quick little video of how I made my december daily:
I've been wanting to do an interactive card for a while now. This year, I did it! I designed my 5x7 cards, leaving a blank spot to be die cut out. I used a square punch and punched the hole in each card. Then I made a little pocket on the back to hold my photo strip in place. A little washi tape on the end of the strips, and voila- it pulls through.
These took a little more time than usual Christmas cards, but they were so fun to make, and we got a lot of fun compliments from our friends and family.
And how about those darling stamps? I LOVE those stamps.
Mailing them off is always the best part. I think Christmas cards is one of my TOP favorites during the holiday season. Its so fun to send some cheer to friends and family.
