I heart typewriters

The August kit from Cocoa Daisy was my favorite so far. I LOVED all the typewriters.

I loved adding watercolor to this whimsical layout with the moon.
Here is a close up. My baby can't get enough of the moon right now. He loves going outside and finding the moon, day or night. And he squeals and says "moo, moo, moo!" So when I saw all the "I love you to the moon and back product, I knew I wanted to make a layout with Crew. I used a plate to trace the moon. There is a whole process video below:

Here is a layout in my summer mini album. I love the paper with the waves and the cute "ADVENTURE" paper. Perfect for my Bear Lake pictures.

This handsome guy has been "Just My Type" for 15 years now. Woot Woot

Here is another layout in my summer mini. You know me, I LOVE paper flaps. Quick video showing it better below:

And here is one more layout using pocket pages. I just love that card with the date on it.  Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

January's Cocoa Daisy kit was adorable. It had lots of pink, hearts, moons and butterflies. I can't wait to share what I made with the kit.

My husband and I will be celebrating our 12 year anniversary in a few weeks. With this romantic kit, I knew I wanted to make a layout about us.

That typewriter card had me at hello. It is the cutest! Here's a layout with the day in the life kit. It is the back side to the previous layout, which worked out great because that top left card is darling on both sides and I was able to utilize both sides! I love it when that happens. That tag was so fun to type on which went right along with the typewriter card. Overall, the layout is just some everyday moments with my kiddos.

Here's what our New Year's Eve looked like. There were lots of balloon popping, confetti throwing, and horn blowing. And it all happened around 9pm woot woot. I cut out the hearts from a 12x12 sheet for the top right card. I wanted to use that pink "2017" 3x4 card but it wasn't quite the right size for this layout, so I cut it into a pennant flag and added to a banner.

For my last project, I wanted to use this darling paper by Pink Paislee that was made up of a grid of lots of cute squares. I knew interactive paper flaps would be fun to go with the squares. I will let you watch the video below to see how I made it.

Sprinkles

I am so excited to get to be part of the Cocoa Daisy design team. I was a guest designer for them in July, but other than that, this is my first official month designing with them. I loved all the cute stuff I got in my Cocoa Daisy Subscription box for November. The kit is called "Sprinkles." My very favorite thing was these chipboard words and number tags by Dear Lizzy.

I decided to fringe the paper and make cards. It was really fun slitting the paper with scissors and layering them on a card made of white cardstock. Then I added little words from my typewriter.

I recently had a birthday, and this paper was PERFECT to document the occasion. Those darling chipboard words are what really made it so fun. Oh and also the pink bubble gum ice cream.

Our new family pictures:

This 12x12 page was my very favorite to make.  My favorites: all the white space, a big banner, sewing, and a black and white photo.

The last project I created with this kit was my Top 10 Reasons Why Fall is My Favorite. I wanted those letters to make a big statement, and adding a real dried leaf made it fun.

Handmade holiday day 8: "write a letter to Santa" station

I had my typewriter already on this table and started adding some Christmas decor. Soon I realized the possibilities of a station to write a letter to Santa. I found the mailbox and Santa letter head at Hobby Lobby. I added envelopes, rubber stamps, washi tape, etc. Luckily, our Elf on the Shelf will check the mail each night before he zooms back to the North Pole. That will save us on postage.

My boys are loving it, and I have a feeling Santa will be getting a lot of letters from them.We are hosting a party this weekend, and I am excited for the kids and/or adults to write a letter.

i love you more than my iphone

I am LOVING the We R Memory Keepers pocket scrapbooking cards called "Love Notes." It is super fun. I made this card for some friends that just got married. The I love you more than my iphone fit them well, and it insired me to type up some hashtags on my typewriter and add them to the pocket. Typing hashtags on my typewriter made me smile, it may have been the first time anyone has done that. Haha. Then I glued the pocket to the inside of the card.

Then I typed right on one of the pockets. This one is going in my planner. And I LOVE the quote.

xoxo

This is our valentine making station. Each one of us has a valentine box, so we needed a little valentine making area. Its been really fun.

These are the cutest valentines! They are a 12x12 sheet from Pebbles. I used these for my valentine layout in my PL project, as well as to attach to gifts.

My boys LOVED their little valentine bags from us. Each of these cards fit each boy so perfectly.

I made this Valentine advent calendar from muslin bags from Michaels. All I had to do was add the number stickers, fill with surprises, and hang them up with clothes pins and bakers twine.  My kids have loved it. Here is Greyson, checking his "vowentine."

2015 memory planner

I am loving my January memory planner by Heidi Swapp. The idea of mixing the year's plans with a little memory keeping is right up my alley. Each year I have saved my old planners. Now, it will be even more meaningful to keep them.

I took my planner to Kinkos and had it spiral bound. I LOVE spiral bound more than binders, since I am always taking it to work and other places on the go. It's also easier to write in.  I decorated the front a little, and typed a quote I want to see throughout the year onto a project life card.

Here is a look at January:
